The best comb on the market!This comb is so much better than even the metal comb that comes with rid or the other products that are on the market. Those plastic combs are worthless. I used this to get rid of the bits and dead lice. We ve kept it (after having been thoroughly sterilized) and now use it to do a check once a month just to make sure. I was shocked at how many the comb pulled out that I couldn t even see in her hair. If it were not for The LiceMeister Comb I don t know that we would have ever gotten rid of them! The little comb flosser is also very handy as you can make sure to clean it without bending the prongs and that way your comb stays useful. 5Great toolYour ultimate fighter against lice and nits. Yes, it does remove nits as well. I definitely recommend it.Just folllow the instructions in the little manual and you'll get the job done. It helps using conditioner, as it softens the hair so that it combs easily.When I am using the licemeister I also fill up a white container with warm water, where I wash out the comb between combing. The white color helps you know what and how many of the lice/nits you are removing. 5Good comb for not-so-delicate headsMy toddler got lice at pre-school and also shared it with me...yuck! I found this comb to be a bit harsh on her baby-fine hair -- her hair pulls out rather easily, and I felt like I got almost as much hair as I did nits using this comb. For her, I prefer combing through very small sections with the free comb that came with our lice shampoo, and pulling out any nits I see using my fingers to keep her head of rather thin hair in-tact. For myself, however, I find this comb to be very good. Since I'm unable to look through my own hair for nits, this comb is the next best thing. And since my hair is fuller and less delicate than my toddler's hair, I've only lost a few hairs per combing session using the LiceMeister. 4Excellent Nit Comb - don't waste money at the drug storeThis worked to pull the nits. Have a bowl of water handy and a toothpick to slide the nit into the water. Beware, when combing long hair, nits will fall onto your lap. The tines though are close enough to capture the nits. 5Throw away the ones that come with the OTC treatments.We had our first case of head lice this summer. I was chasing my tail trying to use the cheaply made combs that came with the OTC medication kits. I bought this one after reading a number of good reviews and I'm so glad I did. It picked up so many more nits than the others. I recommend it to any other mother dealing with the frustrations of a head lice infestation. 5Great Comb. fully sealed handle. Do the conditioner method.I tried the Nit Free Lice terminator comb first, because I order it and the LiceMeister comb at the same time and the terminator arrived first.But hands down I prefer the LiceMeister comb.As a person with long hair, the smooth and sealed plastic handle of this comb make a huge difference and pulled out significantly less hair. The all metal combs have a weld that isn't sealed and my hair gets caught and tugged right on out of my scalp. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch with every pull.I've seen videos on youtube saying brush with your regular brush, then a fine tooth comb, then use the lice comb dry first.If you or whoever have medium or long hair do NOT do it dry.I repeat do NOT do it dry. Do the conditioner method.I attempted a dry run, and no! just no with any of the lice combs. Ouch ouch ouch OUCH!Then I tried hair saturated with oil. Ouch ouch.Then I did it with hair saturated with conditioner and it went much much smoother. 5Buy this!After three days of using the comb that came with the Rid kit, I was so happy to see this little Amazon box waiting for me!! I used it last night, and I m kind of in love with this thing! It s amazing what a difference it makes. I was feeling a little hopeless and overwhelmed, having to pick the nits out of my daughter s extremely fine hair with my fingers because the comb wasn t catching them. The LiceMeister works like a charm! The Rid comb has 25 tines compared to 29 in the same amount of space on the LiceMeister (which has 32 total) and having those extra 4 tines squeezed in there allows the comb to actually capture and remove the nits. Truly amazing! 5It works without the need for Chemicals!My daughter caught a bad case of lice. I freaked out and had no idea how to handle it, so I called in a professional nit-picker. When she came, she used this specific comb to comb her entire head. She parted her hair in several sections and combed through one small section at a time.It took 2 hours and no chemicals, but the lady got all bugs and nits out! She recommended I buy this comb and comb her hair once a week as a preventative measure.This thing is a life savor. Its teeth are perfectly positioned, so it gets all the nits and bugs out without pulling out my daughters hair. Make sure the hair is slightly wet for best results.Attached is a picture of everything this comb removed from my daughters knee length (yes, knee length!) hair, as well as the way we parted it, and then what the nits look like when they are caught in the comb. 5Great lice combForget the plastic lice combs, honestly those are junk. This metal comb is great at getting lice and their eggs out of hair. Now with super lice I wasn t going to take a chance at just using a lice killing shampoo/conditioner. I also paired it with this comb to make sure I got everything out of my daughters hair. I just separated her hair in sections and coated it with something to give her hair slip and then combed through each section and braided the sections I was done with. Worked great paired with a lice removal shampoo/conditioner and now my daughter is lice free! 5Life saverThis comb saved my life when my daughter had lice. I used the wet combing method recommended by the nice lice lady blog. Another reviewer here recommended it. Lots of conditioner on damp hair and just comb with the licemeister in sections. Do this every other day and on the off days use your hair dryer on medium on their hair when dry. I had tried olive oil, nix, and I couldn t get all of them. My daughter has very very thick hair. This comb with that method worked in less than a week. Keep calm, you will beat this. 5
