Warning -- Not all Nespresso machines take these types of pods! Check the pod type with your model before buying! This is the real deal. Turkish Espresso pods with cardamom. Tastes like it's supposed to.I made the mistake of buying these without knowing that the Nespresso line of machines actually has several different types of pods. So I was not prepared for the pods not fitting my machine. But the company refunded me, and told me to keep the coffee! You know what that means -- EXPERIMENTATION! So I tried to make my own Nespresso foil disc pods using the espresso in the plastic cup-pods in the box. That was a total fail. What does work is using a coffee machine filter. I just cut open the plastic pod, dump the coffee into a filter, and pour hot water onto, letting it drip. It's slow, but it the thing that works the best. So none of my pods will have to go to waste. 5Almost Perfect, We'll Be Ordering More....... See Photos~ We bought a 50 pack of these Mixpresso capsules in the Lungo flavor (an Arabica blend). I read a lot of reviews and saw this type reviewed well and we are pretty pleased with them...The first cup we brewed, the crema, strength, and overall flavor was excellent. There were no espresso grounds in our cup and it was quite comparable to our regular, more expensive Nespresso.We've also tried Highline's pods and I liked them but my husband didn't care much for it. More often than not, theirs didn't puncture correctly and we'd have to punch into the pods a second time to get the coffee to come out properly.These seemed perfect at our first cup but after trying a good 30 plus cups, we've found they have the same issue, just less often. Maybe every one in three cups (comes out irritatingly slow if we don't stop and give it another punch).Produced in Italy. 6 grams per capsule. Ours arrived with a best by date of June, 2017 (about 11 months out) and each pack of ten was tightly sealed.Not perfect pods but most importantly, fantastic espresso, especially for the savings. Will be buying more and might just stick with this flavor, since we like it so much.Nicely balanced, bold, and flavorful. Good in a cappuccino or straight with cream. Uploading some photos so you can see it upon arrival and in action (with our Nespresso Pixie). Recommended. Smile. Hope this is helpful! 4UNUSABLE, DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY!!! These Mixpresso brand Ristretto Pods do not work properly in my machine. They taste decent but the pods are defective they do not pour properly. The machine struggles to pour a cup of coffee, and most of the times it cuts out. I would highly recommend not to buy these mix Bresso brand pods because they are defective, they flat out don t work in my Nespresso pixie machine. Other pods work just fine but these Mixpresso ones are the first ones I ve ever tried that don t work. And I have tried many different offbrand or cheaper brand besides the Nespresso brand and all brands have at least given me a cup of coffee. These fail before I can even do a taste test. I have only used a couple and I am going to try to return them, and if the manufacturer or Amazon won t let me return I will be seriously upset with Amazon. I quickly looked on the Amazon app about returning them and it says product is not returnable . If this is true I am going to be very disappointed in Amazon as a business. I hope this is not going to be difficult to return because it already seems like there is information indicating that returns are not available with this product. I better be able to get a refund because it s not an issue with the quality, or just my dislike of its taste, it s just a defective product so I better be able to return it or I I will stop buying from Amazon. This is the first time ever I ve tried to return a product on Amazon, and it s proving to be difficult. I ve already spent 15 minutes looking and all I can find is that product is not returnable .P.S.- I just called Amazon customer service, and they said since the product is not returnable, they will refund me ALL my money! I do not have to return the unused pods, so I don t have to pay for any return shipping. They said I could keep the unused pods, give them away, or throw them in the trash. But they have already refunded me the full purchase price.EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM AMAZON! As soon as I called Amazon customer service, and I told them the pods were unusable, they immediately told me I would be refunded my money. Quick and simple. Now I know it is true that Amazon has a great return policy. Thanks Amazon! 1Not too bad actually. Like all 'compatible' pods Not too bad actually. Like all 'compatible' pods, (I've tried most) some of the capsules on this brand are faulty. Either the edges fail and allow drop through, or the foil doesn't perf completely sometimes. HOWEVER - the coffee tastes good, and as failure rates go, these don't fail as much as some I've tried at nearly twice the price. For the money, these are pretty legit. Especially since the 2 best quality/best deals are more often unavailable than available. These arrive very quickly. 4Doesn't work with a Nespresso Machine I was excited to buy this in a larger quantity than I could at the grocery store. However, once I tried it in my Nespresso machine, it did not work! It is supposed to be compatible but is not. The capsules fit inside the machine, but the cover is so dense that only a tiny amount of espresso will come through - about 2 tablespoons.Since I purchased the larger quantity, I had to resort to poking tiny little holes in the top of each capsule to help release the espresso. It helped a little. I won't be buying these again. 2As long as I remember, my family started each ... As long as I remember, my family started each morning with Turkish coffee. I spent countless hours, as a child in Lebanon, manually grinding the coffee beans... and adding just enough cardamon for the right taste.In USA, I tried adding ground cardamon to ground coffee, but it did not taste right.These capsules are as close as you can get taste wise to the real thing I remember... without having to deal with the coffee mud that they use in the south and east of the Mediterranean to tell your fortune. 5Absolutely Great Cofee I buy these capsules frequently (we drink a lot of coffee). I find that the taste is great. These capsules work extrememly well in my machine and I've never encountered a defective capsule. Cost is much lower than comparable capsules, the company is friendly And delivery is prompt. 5Coffee is good. Problem with the capsule-----it does not allow water ... Coffee is good. Problem with the capsule-----it does not allow water to flow freely. I enlarge the three holes in the plastic bottom and this allows it to flow better. Update May 5, 2017....the problem appears to be with the coffee grounds clogging the three holes on the bottom of the capsule; and, this forces the machine to strain or overwork resulting in shut off. I have opened their capsule and transferred the coffee to another capsule. This also got clogged. When I checked their coffee grounds in the capsule, I found them to be as hard as cement and not allowing any water to pass through. Maybe a larger grind would work better. 2Received wrong product I ordered the variety pack but received the Turkish blend (1st picture) I opened 2 of the 10 pack boxes and noticed they we're identical (both with purplish aluminum foil - 2nd pic). When I checked box it was not label mixed variety pack, but Turkish blend. The scan label on the box said variety pack but this was an incorrectly labled box. I opened all the other remain packages and the capsules were exactly the same foiled capsules (see 3rd picture). I did receive the package quickly. I tasted the expresso and it was okay but not what I ordered. 1Cheaper is not always less expensive, in the long run. Ghastly!! I was eager to try this coffee, not because it s less expensive than Nespresso, but because I love good Turkish coffee. What a mistake! First of all these pods, unlike genuine Nespresso pods, are encapsulated in a plastic cup - unrecyclable! Nespresso has made the original Nespresso pods out of recyclable aluminum cups and tops which they encourage their customers to recycle by giving out a return bag. Customers are asked to return, postage free, the used capsules to their company, or wherever their products are sold - where they are then recycled!Second, the coffee tasted like plastic to me, awful! I can t imagine the plastic infused coffee is healthier!I m not going to drink anymore; couldn t even finish the first cup. Meantime I m trying to figure out how to throw these darn things out. . . In an environmentally friendly way. . . please think twice, or even three times, before purchasing. Cheaper is not always less expensive, especially in the long run.Thanks 1
