Sports Mom Equipment Purchase Trial and ErrorsI like it. I've only used it for a weekend but it did the job. My daughter plays volleyball and rolled her ankle before a big tournament. Ice packs will work (we buy the throw away ones and reusable ones by the bulk, I also have a son that plays football and basketball) but we were going out of state and didn't want to take a lot of supplies. So this worked great. We kept it in the hotel freezer while we were gone and used the sports first aid tents while there (thanks to those Big South workers for their hard work), she likes the pressure this one puts on her ankle and it stays put while her foot is elevated instead of having to tape it around her ankle. Everything worked fine, so far, for me with this product. I'm use to using velcro straps that stick to everything because of ankle braces, so for this one when I freeze it I keep it folded close, I take it out and slam it in the wrap quickly, while it's still closed, and I didn't have to deal with it sticking to the sides. If this keeps working, I'm sure I will probably have to buy a couple of back ups. I'll wait to see how this one works for a couple of months 5This product is fantastic!Encompasses entire ankle, heels and bottom of foot. Compression and ice was awesome and the chill went right through my soft cast. I added an additional ice pack to the front because the soft cast didn't allow my entire front of my ankle to be covered with the original ice pack. It would have fit no problem with out the soft cast. The strap is also long enough to accept the additional ice pack! I love this product! I immediately tossed my ice bags after using this once. The convenience and quality is excellent. 5Excellent relief and supportI purchased this for a ligament tear in my ankle / grade 3 sprain. It had been my absolute lifeline. I love the air compression and wish there were more ankle products with this feature. I sleep with this on instead of "the boot" for me it's enough support for sleeping. I don't walk on it while it's inflated, I'm sure it would pop. I deflate if I need to shuffle to the bathroom etc... It can make the bottom of your foot cold (wish I had this when I had plantar faschitis) when it bothers me, I fold a sock or washcloth at the bottom to keep the cold from reaching the sole of my foot. I have also worn the ice pack on top of a more secure lace up brace and got benefit from the cold. I wish it was taller, but it truly covers my entire injured area. Someone mentioned it not covering the Achilles area well. Probably true, but there is room and flexibility to tuck a small ice pack back there. If you have an ankle / foot injury and are in the RICE phase of treatment this is a must have item. 5Amazing Therapy for Plantar PainThis is amazing for Plantar pain. I had tried regular ice packs for 4 months prior to purchasing this item and regular ice packs did not provide the healing that this item has provided in just a few short days. 5Wrap is great, cold pak it comes with not so great.I love the outer wrapping - perfect for keeping the cold pak on, and the compression is a nice feature. The problem is the cold pak that comes with it - it covers the bottom of the foot, where you don't usually need the cold, and does not cover the entire top of the foot where you do. I ended up using a different ice pak, that I laid over the top of the foot, draping down on the sides of the ankle, then applied the outer wrap and that worked fine. 3Outstanding product line...buy it for relief!This is my 4th purchase of O2 cold/compression packs. I am a veteran of the recent wars in the Middle East and have suffered many injuries due to service. This line of products works amazingly well & makes a world of difference. This performs as well as the shoulder and knee versions...wraps the injury in cold, it doesn't just place the cold on top of the injury like conventional cold packs do. The compression helps with pain as well as keeps the cold where it belongs & is much more efficient than resting a cold pack or bag of ice over a towel on my knee. I highly recommend purchasing the models you need, you don't regret it. 5Great build quality but very little coverage in front of the ankle!The build quality of this product is excellent, but it has a major design flaw. There is very little of the gel that covers/reaches the front of the ankle where the wrap ends meet. As a result, there was very little coverage towards front of the ankle and that is where I needed it the most as I had torn my ATF. All the other parts of the ankle (the back, under the foot, etc.) were covered fine and the Air compression thing really works great for a very tight cold compress. So, if you don't need much coverage in front of your ankle, you should definitely get this product. 2Living with post OATS surgeryCompression and cold is what was recommended. I wish I could afford those game ready machines you see in the physical therapy office because they work really well and I could tell the difference in my ankle after just 10 minutes of using it. This was the cheaper alternative. For the price it works and provides the necessary compression and cold. The cold pack only covers about 75% percent of the ankle, mostly focused towards the posterior. I have swelling towards the front as well so I add another small cold pack in front, which still fits when you wrap it. 4Great productOk...broke my ankle in August, it's now October. Could not figure out how to get the inflamation down... tried ice in a ziploc bag.... it leaked... then bought some gel paks to wrap around my ankle using a velcro knee wrap to keep in place.... tough to manage... then off I go to see if Amazon has anything. I am lying in bed with It on .... first time.... this is the cats meow!! It fits great, easy to put on... kicking myself for not finding it sooner. The air compression really squeezes the gel against your ankle to keep it really cold... rest,ice,compression, elevation...thank you for this product! 5Helpful and convenientI really enjoyed this little contraption. My daughter is competitive gymnast and suffers from Severs disease. She likes how she can ice her feet and at the same time put that pressure on her foot. The only thing I did not realize is that it does not go all the way around your heel. There is actually opening that you re heal should go into. I didn t stop us and we were able to use the Velcro and write it on the back of the heel and close the opening. It has really worked for her. Anytime she feels her feet hurting she just pulls it out of the freezer and put it on.
