Like walking on marshmallows!!These inserts are fantastic! I've always just picked up inserts at Walgreens or the grocery store, and I've even had the professional orthotics, but these were so inexpensive I ordered one pair several months ago just as an experiment. I'm a medical provider, so I spend most of my day on my feet. Some locations have the padded mats that we can stand on when in front of a computer for lengthy periods, but many don't. These inserts are like wearing the padded mat everywhere. They were good enough that I recently ordered 2 more pairs for my other shoes. 5best insole for steel toe shoes.I have been buying these for my steel toe shoes for the last few years. I have to be replaced them about every 6 months because they wear out. I cut them to fit. They are very comfy, but they may not fit every steel toe shoe. I wear the womens Puma but I purchased a pair of Mellow Walk steel toe shoes and the insoles are not a right fit for that shoe. They are to tight/ thick for them. But I havn't tried them in a pair of regular shoes but I'm sure they are just as good. 5Feet feel betterI liked it was cushioned but I added more cushioning in the front to keep my feet from sliding forward. Most is want cushioning but also keep our feet from sliding forward and getting our toes squished.Didn't really need them to be so thick in the heel. 4the fit is so perfect it's indescribably ridiculousWell. A couple of things: One, the size you buy is simply a pre-cut version of a larger size, so if you're iffy, buy it large and cut it down yourself.I bought a pair of boots a while back that had damaged insoles, so I bought these to replace them, and... the fit is so perfect it's indescribably ridiculous. They fit the inside of the boot without bunching up and with no extra space, at all. I can't emphasize how well they fricking fit.They're quite thick though, so unless you're putting them in very open shoes, or very "large" ones, your feet will get squished. That said, I put them in some great big clomping boots, and they're perfect. Nice and soft on my sensitive baby feet. 4Elevator for a few seconds but more comfortable than anything.Comfortable but hardly "elevator" shoes insoles as you're "elevated" for about a few seconds until your weight pushes down on memory foam. That said it is thick as advertised but I'd position more of comfort to wear because it is just that. I think with the right leather shoes or boots with heel height that you're happy with, these would be outstanding. 3Very comfortable......HOWEVER.....I have used another memory insole for the past few years and generally get at least 6 months of wear out of them. But I decided to try these based on some of the good reviews and persuaded by the low cost. I have now been using them for about 2 weeks. I am a retired grandmother and am not working on my feet all day long. I usually wear the shoes that have these inserts approximately 4 - 6 hours a day around the house. The top layer has separated and is peeling away on both insoles. At this rate I would have to buy 12 pairs of these insoles to last as long as my usual brand. At $7 a pair it will cost me $84. Seems to me that at $14 for my usual brand is quite a bargain! 2Love themLove these insoles! The first few times wearing them they were so thick I couldn't fit my foot in the shoe, but they quickly formed to my foot and now they're the most comfortable shoes I own. Feels like walking on clouds, I honestly get kind of sad when I take them off. As they compress, some of the initial height is obviously lost... so if you're buying them for the lift, keep that in mind. That said, I think the combination of lift + support + comfort is perfect. 5Worth it!Excellent for the price! Was not looking for a height boost so can't comment on that. I tend to walk on and apply a lot of pressure to my heels, at least that's what the machine at the New Balance store says. The problem is their recommended memory foam insoles are $70! I reluctantly bought a replacement pair but knew it wasn't going to work out as a long term solution at 70 dollars a pair. So I found these, and honestly I can't tell the difference between these and the high dollar New Balance insoles. I've already bought multiple pairs for other shoes and they're all good. Comfortable, easy to trim and the price is right! 51/2 inch taller? More like 1/8 inch taller.1/2 inch taller? More like 1/8 inch taller. I bought these because I thought they would be thicker than your standard insoles and provide more cushioning. However, once you step on them, the heel section flattens out completely. I have bought other memory foam insoles, and these appear no different. If I were looking for an "elevator" insole, I would probably need to stack four of these to get a 1/2 inch of lift. 3 stars as a standard memory foam insole, 1/4 star as an "elevator" insole. 1HeavenlySo...just threw these into my boots. Heavenly. I won't be able to wear thick socks as it gets colder, but I don't think it'll be a problem. I usually spend my life in sneakers because it's the only think I can wear all day.On a side note, I tried these inserts in my sneakers and didn't love as much. Perhaps having a slight heal is better on my arch... Don't know. 5
