LIFE SAVER!This thing is a live saver! I pulled a hamstring sprinting with my daughter getting her ready for the upcoming track season. I was able to jog within a couple of days with this wrap on. I should have iced my leg the first few days. I knew better and didn't. Anyways, i am back to sprinting in three weeks. But i wear this just in case to give me a little added protection. I just don't put it on as tight. If you pull your hamstring, make sure you ice it for the first 48 hours or you will have the massive purple bruising that I had. But this wrap will help you back to your training sooner. 5Helped me recover from a strained hamstring.I wanted to say that this item works great! It helped me recover from a hamstring injury that would have made me lose valuable time in my career. A couple weeks before entering some training for my job, I strained my hamstring doing a workout. I was out of commission running, which was a big part of the academy. Anyhow, I kept trying to rehab it, and made little progress. I stumbled over this compression wrap, and figured I would give it a try, why not, I said. So it came in the mail two days later (thanks Amazon), and I tried it on.I had tried other wraps for my hamstring from CVS and other medial stores, but nothing compared to this. This compression wrap felt just right on my leg, and the pad on the inside seemed to really help. Long story short, I was able to start running on my leg, even though I should have been resting it. I had to keep in shape for the in order to pass my training and get the job. I used this wrap for the first few weeks of the training and was able to keep up with everyone while running. In other words, if you have a hamstring injury, get this wrap! It will heal quicker and feel a lot better. 5I used this for the first time last week in ...I used this for the first time last week in indoor soccer. Despite warm temperatures and a very sweaty leg :-/ this stayed put. In fact, I tried to pull it up during half time, thinking it was slipping, but it was essentially stuck to my leg and I couldn't move it. Just what I was looking for.WARNING - seller PBJS is selling horrible knock-offs of this item. I needed a replacement and received something that is nothing like the original. No packaging, does not have the Pro Tec logo or the "pad", no velcro, and it smells really bad (petroleum). Going back! 5Excellent minimal wrap - I've been dealing with some intermittent ...Excellent minimal wrap - I've been dealing with some intermittent quad/hamstring injuries, and these have helped immeasurably. I've taken to wearing them full-time as support during sports (recreational/semi-competitive volleyball/softball) and haven't suffered any injuries since. I bought my first one two years ago, and after using it a few times a week since then, am just now replacing it (beginning to tear). As people have said, sliding can be an issue since there's nothing specifically holding it up. However, HOW you put it on can make all the difference. First, put it on with a relaxed (straight) leg to get the tightest fit (vs having a flexed leg that will cause it to slide when it relaxes). Apply the upper strap (the one closer to your groin) first, followed by the lower strap (the one closer to the knee), which will need to be tighter. When securing the lower strap, I'll pull the non-velcro side towards the strap to ensure a tight fit. By doing this, I RARELY have issues with it slipping down. 5Cut down my recovery time!I am so thrilled I purchased these wraps. I did some insane sprint drills for CrossFit and ended up moderately pulling my inner hamstring muscles in both legs, making even walking challenging. Constant Epsom salt bath and ice was not doing it quickly enough, but strapping these things on fairly tightly for at least 4-5 hours for a couple of days did. And when I did ease back into exercise they provided excellent support for a range of things like jump roping, cycling, squats and box jumps. Hopefully you only need one wrap, but I was forced to get two. Two on at the same time is a bit awkward, but if you two jacked up legs you won't care. Running is the one thing that's really hard with two on especially if wrappe tightly, you slow down to a snail pace. They do need to be tight for max support though. To prevent the wraps from slipping, either wear them over or under athletic tights. And I highly recommend going with an adjustable one like this. As my thighs healed I needed different levels of support and in different positions over time and you really can't do that with a one size sleeve. 5So glad I bought thisI tore my hamstring in a softball tournament. The tear was so bad I had severe bruising on my thigh. I went to my doctor and to physical therapist and that helped a little. My job requires me to be constantly on my legs and constantly getting up and down. I retore the muscles twice in the first 3 weeks of the initial injury. I then did my research and purchased this product. It has helped so much. I no longer come home from work so painful I can hardly walk. I am in week 7 of the injury, week 3 with the brace and know I would not be this far along with out it. It is easy to put on, stays in place even with constant up and down and side to side motion. It is comfortable and I can wear it under my work pants. 5Very happy customerI was totally shocked at how this wrap has performed. I pulled a hamstring a couple of days ago and could not find a wrap in any local sporting goods store in Atlanta. I ordered this one from Amazon and didn't want to pay $20+++ for a wrap but this product is well worth the price. I have worn it all day under a suit and drove 450 miles and the tension has stayed the same and it has been very effective. 5Not impressed.I ended up with a hamstring injury playing racquetball; I'm a runner and continued to irritate the injury on a regular basis. I always felt like compression on the area would be helpful, so I looked for a wrap and settled on this one after comparing many brands on Amazon. I tried to run with it and had the slipping issues that others mention in their reviews. In general, I feel like the wrap is just too bulky when it's on- I experimented one day wearing it under my pants to work (to see if a couple hours of compression made a difference) and it was just too thick to wear that way.I'm just not a fan of this compression wrap. It didn't stay tight enough, slipped, and was too bulky. I plan to just use pre-wrap and athletic tape to put pressure on the area when I need it. 2Awesome! Well worth investment, especially if injured.I recently pulled (possibly tore) my hamstring playing ball. It was really bad. I couldn't walk for a few days and frankly couldn't get comfortable sitting/laying/standing anything. I bought a sleeve at a major sports store and it was fair, but I knew I wouldn't be on the field any time soon, so looked for something like this that I could make tight.I read reviews here and they were what I needed to push me in the right direction. Long story short, I iced/rested/stretched/kept the sleeve that I had on for healing and this wrap arrived the day I was to get back on the field. I strapped it on my still quite sore leg and was able to make it really tight and fully stabalize my hamstring. I didn't go 100 percent on it and it still hurt a little, but it was awesome. I could loosen or make it tighter and I didn't have any trouble with slippage. I absolutely love the pad that's in it and know that now, about three weeks after my injury it's like I was never hurt in the first place. I LOVE this wrap. It's even good for holding on an ice pack post-game. It's also really slim, so it fits under my shorts with no discomfort. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I REALLY sweat in this. Not just a little, but like dripping down my leg. It still didn't slip on me, but I wish the material was breathable or something so that I didn't melt in it. 4Helped my hammieI've never had hamstring problems, so I was quite upset when I pulled/strained my right hamstring during a tennis tournament. I gave the leg a few days rest, but wanted to get back on the court ASAP, so I ordered this wrap based on positive reviews. My strain was high on the leg, an awkward place for a wrap. The Pro-Tec product has some serious Velcro fasteners, so it fastens tightly and positively. The only drawback is that it will slip down your leg during hard exercise. Simply a matter of anatomy. I solved this with a pair of Nike compression shorts worn over the wrap. That isn't how you're supposed to do it, but it worked for me. It provided excellent support and the pressure pad allows you to concentrate the support over the exact spot of the muscle pull. I've been wearing the Pro-Tec wrap every time I play tennis since the injury, and after a couple of weeks my hammie is back to normal with minimal loss of exercise time. Well worth it (as long as you realize that it will not stay up on its own if you sweat or exercise hard) to minimize downtime while your muscle heals. I'd give it five stars if there were a way to keep it in place on its own, but I don't know how that could be done. 4
